Emerald Health and Safety is a company that provides professional low-cost health and safety packages to small businesses, allowing them to comply with national HSA regulations and to meet their insurance obligations.
“Working closely with our health and safety consultants, we have created a low-cost health and safety package that is suitable for all small businesses with a keen focus on the construction and retail industries,” says Micheál Jordan, a co-director of the company along with fellow director Paudie Sheahan. Emerald Health and Safety customers receive a health and safety package that includes a leather-bound portfolio containing their unique health and safety documentation. These will include their safety statement, risk assessments and health and safety templates as well as other forms.
The package also includes a subscription to Emerald’s interactive mobile app which is available on iOS and on Android. This allows customers easy and instant access to all of their health and safety documentation at the touch of a button.
Being located at the KTI Business Innovation Hub has been a huge advantage for Emerald Health and Safety.
“It’s great for us as a start- up,” says Micheál. “When you’re first setting up in business, you don’t have much finance to pay for things like rent, rates and WiFi. Having access to all of that as well as the fantastic working environment here at the Hub is very important. It’s been a wonderful opportunity for us to be based here while we get off the ground.”
